If you’re wondering how to format your press release so you look like you know what you’re doing, this post is for you. Just enter your information into the following standard format, proof, and email or upload to the appropriate media outlets.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Contact: Your Name and Title

              Your Phone

              Your Email Address

 

TITLE

 

CITY/TOWN, STATE – Opening Paragraph – Interesting lead that includes who, what, where, when, why

 

Second Paragraph – Information that expands on your lead, gives historical perspective or tells the reader why the information is newsworthy

 

Third and Fourth Paragraphs – Quotes, if possible

 

Closing Paragraph – Contact information and call-to-action, if appropriate
